Paid Family Leave

Cargill is committed to providing an inclusive work environment and supporting its employees through critical life events that require time away from work—beyond just the birth of  a child.

Cargill’s Paid Family Leave benefit will provide eligible employees* up to:

  • Six weeks to bond with a new child
  • Four weeks to care for a family member with a serious health condition
  • Four weeks for a qualifying military exigency or caregiver leave of absence.

The total allocation of Paid Family Leave, regardless of the reason, can be taken every 12 months.

*You are eligible to receive the benefit if you are actively working at the time leave is requested, worked for Cargill at least one year (52 weeks), worked a minimum of 1,250 hours during the year before the leave request, and have FMLA leave time remaining.

This website describes benefits that apply to full-time employees who are eligible for model benefits. If you are a union employee, or a production hourly employee in Cargill’s Protein business, your benefits may vary.

Disclaimer: If there are any differences/discrepancies between the information on this website (www.cargill.com/myhealth and all related pages) and the information in the plan documents and/or summary plan descriptions (SPDs), the information in the plan documents/SPDs will overrule. Employees will receive information on how to access SPDs based on their benefits eligibility.
