Voluntary Benefits
Cargill offers you additional, cost-effective benefits that help you prepare for the unexpected. Voluntary benefits, including accident insurance, critical illness and identity theft protection, can support your financial needs and offer flexibility, convenience and peace of mind.
Although you pay the full premium, Cargill has negotiated with the benefit providers to provide a group rate to Cargill employees. In many cases, these group rates are lower than what you would pay for these coverages on an individual basis.
Accident Insurance
In addition to the benefits you receive from your primary medical insurance, a voluntary accident plan pays you benefits if you suffer from specific injuries or events resulting from a covered accident (such as a fall, motor vehicle accident, overexertion or strenuous movement). The amount paid depends on the type of injury and care received.
