Discover the chocolate-focused innovation center at Mouscron, Belgium, dedicated to creating innovative products to delight and excite consumers. It has its own on-site laboratory facilities where you can test different variables and experiment with combining ingredients in new ways.

An expert taste panel is also on hand to help you finesse products during the development phase and ensure chocolate products are manufactured consistently once in production.

Focusing on coatings and fillings, the innovation center in Deventer, Netherlands develops innovations that can have a spectacular impact on your end product. Adding excitement to the appearance or enhancing the sensory experience of your finished products is easy with the facility’s extensive laboratory capacity, helping you push the boundaries of what you can achieve with colour, flavour and texture.

Discover a Dutch powder for every application

Benefit from the collective knowledge of a team of experts at the innovation center for cocoa in Wormer, working in a sophisticated laboratory facility with an expert tasting panel on hand to research and develop new powders and help you with applications.

The Wormer site produces a broad spectrum of over 100 varieties of cocoa powder, all of which carry the trusted Gerkens® brand.

This includes the High Impact range, offering deep, dark, almost black hues, as well as an instant powder for cold drinks, which means you can add delicious chocolaty flavour without worrying about lumps and bumps.

Get access to broad ingredients knowledge

Enjoy better insights from across our food businesses, through access to Cargill’s Food Innovation Center, a cross-ingredient facility for research and development. Enabling you to benefit from more joined-up expertise, the application center brings together specialists from our confectionery, dairy and bakery businesses, making it a world authority in specialty sweeteners, texturizers, fats, and flavours.

However complex your product challenge, Cargill’s Food Innovation Center can solve it through testing and developing different ingredient combinations to get the perfect end-product. The innovation center also works on mid- to long-term innovation projects, driven by emerging trends and is supported by the knowledge and expertise of 140 food scientists, nutritional experts, and technicians from different sectors.
