Incroflo™ P50
Cargill's Incroflo™ P50 additive is a processing aid engineered to directly replace fluoropolymer additives in the extrusion of LLDPE. It is an 86% bio-based* additive for improving polymer flow and reducing melt fracture effects such as sharkskin. By enabling smoother extrusion, it helps achieve higher throughput and improved film clarity.
The Incroflo P50 additive can be dispersed evenly through the polymer in the melt phase. It lubricates the metal surface of the die and allows the polymer to flow more easily, minimizing surface defects.
Guidelines for use
Incroflo P50 additive can be incorporated in resin as supplied or via masterbatch. Experience has shown that simple manual mixing prior to processing will normally give an acceptable dispersion, though mechanical means are preferred. Typical addition levels vary depending on polymer and lubrication required. Typical addition levels: 500-2000 ppm.
