Pripol™ 1009
High-purity hydrogenated dimer fatty acid
Pripol™ 1009 is an ultra high purity (99%) hydrogenated and distilled dimer fatty acid, specifically developed for polymer systems where maximum molecular weight, superior mechanical performance and light color are required.
Its exceptionally high difunctional purity enables efficient chain extension and tight control of polymer architecture, allowing formulators to achieve very high molecular weight polymers. This makes Pripol 1009 a preferred building block for demanding applications in epoxy, polyurethane, polyester, and polyamide systems used in coatings, adhesives, engineering plastics, and elastomers.
A key differentiator of Pripol 1009 is its low glass transition temperature, which allows polymer systems to maintain flexibility at lower temperatures. This makes it particularly well suited for formulations that must perform across a wide temperature range without becoming brittle.
