Coatings, adhesives and engineering plastics

Pripol 1017 is a versatile dimer fatty acid building block designed for broad compatibility across polymer systems. It integrates well with other raw materials, contributing flexibility and multi substrate adhesion in polymers used for sealants, coatings, and other formulated systems. Its hydrolytic stability and chemical resistance, combined with good pigment wetting, support robust and consistent performance across diverse applications.

Pripol 1017 also contributes hydrophobic properties, helping finished products repel water and deliver effective sealant and protective performance.

Lubricants

Beyond polymers, Pripol 1017 is suitable for use in lubricant formulations as an emulsifier (when neutralized with an alkanolamine), corrosion inhibitor (use neat for fuels and neutralised with an alkanolamine for aqueous metalworking fluids and rolling oils) and as a boundary lubricant.
